The Namangan Wastewater Treatment Public–Private Partnership (PPP) Project is the first wastewater treatment project in Uzbekistan to be developed under the country’s PPP Law with private investment and project financing support from the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and the Government of Uzbekistan. Developed by Metito Utilities as a sole developer, the project scope covers the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of a 100,000 m3/day wastewater treatment plant, along with a new 7.5km effluent discharge pipeline in the Namangan District. The project aligns with Uzbekistan’s national water sector priorities, by focusing on expanding wastewater treatment infrastructure, improving environmental compliance, and strengthening municipal service delivery.
