The first wastewater PPP of its kind in Serbia, the Zrenjanin Wastewater Treatment Project is developed by Metito Utilities as the sole developer to address longstanding wastewater management challenges in the City of Zrenjanin. With a designed capacity of approximately 25,000 m³/day, the plant will treat wastewater to high environmental compliance standards. Once operational, it is expected to reduce pollution loads, support long-term municipal resilience, and demonstrate the applicability of PPP models to wastewater infrastructure in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
