Metito joins campaign by business leaders urging governments to take action on emerging water crisis |
Metito, the international desalination, water, and wastewater treatment specialist in the region today joined 18 other companies in an unprecedented statement to the 'Group of Eight' countries, urging heads of state and government to take action on the emerging global crisis in water and sanitation.

| Governments urged to act on water crisis |
Metito, the international desalination, water, and wastewater treatment specialist in the region on Tuesday joined 18 other companies in an unprecedented statement to the “Group of Eight” countries, urging heads of state and government to take action on the emerging global crisis in water and sanitation. The call-to-action was made in a letter signed by the chief executive officers of some of the world's largest companies, all of whom are signatories of The CEO Water Mandate, a special initiative of the United Nations Global Compact that was launched by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in July 2007.

Metitio to expand water treatment facility at Nakheels's International City Project
|
Metito, the international desalination, water, and waste water treatment company announced that it has been appointed by Palm water to double the existing sewage treatment plant (STP) capacity at the International City development in Dubai from 5,000 m3/d to 10,000 m3/d. Metito will employ the state of the art Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) technology for treating domestic sewage water which has already being pioneered at Nakheel's Pal Jumeirah project also by Metito.
