METITO INTRODUCES STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY AT PRESTIGIOUS WATER TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION.

4 February 2002

METITO, the international water and wastewater treatment experts have introduced their newest technology at the Dubai Water and Energy Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2002) now being held at the Dubai Airport Expo Centre.

With a bigger stand this year, METITO is displaying its Mach 4 Chlorinator, a state-of-the-art disinfection equipment and a range of other products including locally manufactured chemicals. Visitors to the METITO stand can also obtain useful company and product information.

In line with its commitment to creating greater awareness on desalination methods, METITO will hold a seminar on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the conference hall at Dubai Airport Expo Centre. The seminar is titled "Desalination Techniques for Wastewater Industrial Re-use".

METITO (Overseas) Limited Managing Director, Mr. Fady Juez, said: "METITO is delighted to participate at this prestigious event, particularly because it is being organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, a key METITO customer. Our presence demonstrates our commitment to supporting activities and events that help boost awareness on the introduction and operation of new and unique water technologies.
He added: "The desalination seminar that METITO will be organising during the exhibition will focus on the wastewater desalination techniques that can produce water quality to suit many industrial uses such as power generation, textile, pulp and paper and construction industries".

METITO has been a long-standing advocate of greater use of treated wastewater for industrial use to help ease the pressure on the UAE's scarce water resources.
METITO is a world leader in the provision of wastewater treatment, desalination plants and water supply projects. In the UAE it runs its European, African and Asian operations from their headquarters in Sharjah, and has a factory and laboratory facility in the Hamriya Free Zone.

METITO was founded in 1958 by Mr. Farouk Ghandour, its present Chairman, and has project management capabilities to undertake major projects worldwide.
