METITO
COMPLETES A WASTE TREATMENT AND RECYCLING SYSTEM
FOR RITZ CARLTON HOTEL, DUBAI

Metito, the international water and wastewater treatment
experts, have delivered a cost effective and self
sustaining solution to the problem of irrigating
the beautiful landscaped areas surrounding the five-star
Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dubai.
The company was selected by the hotel management
to install a state-of-the-art sewage treatment works
at the hotel to handle all the waste demands from
the hotel, recycle it, and then use the treated
water to ensure that the landscaped grounds would
remain in pristine condition at minimal costs.
Hotel managers also set Metito the task of achieving
this objective of having an on-site works that could
not be seen by hotel customers or be responsible
for any unsavory or unpleasant smells.

Group Managing Director, Mr. Mutaz Ghandour, said:

treatment works on the site of a world class and
prestigious hotel like the Ritz Carlton where we
have to ensure there can be no risk of any inconvenience
to the hotel guests.

engineering and technical expertise, enabled Metito
to deliver exactly the system that the Ritz Carlton
required, both on time and on budget. The system
installed also means that water can be reused to
save the scarce water resources we have here, both
in the UAE and across the Gulf region."
The Ritz Carlton Hotel project is among a number
of prestigious resort achievements for Metito in
the United Arab Emirates and other countries including
fourteen five-star resorts on the Red Sea in Egypt.
Metito has installed a plant that can satisfy all
the needs of the 150-bedroom hotel and has a capacity
of up to 250 cubic meters per day.
The scope of works for the company on this project
included turnkey design, engineering, fabrication
supply and installation of all equipment.
Metito is the leading international company for
the provision of wastewater treatment, desalination
plants and water supply projects. In the UAE it
operates its Middle East, African and Asian operations
from their regional headquarters in Sharjah and
has a factory and laboratory facility in the Hamriya
Free Zone.
