Metito
Overseas Ltd, the international water treatment,
desalination and wastewater treatment experts, today
announced that it has won an AED 8 million contract
to provide a range of highly specialized water desalination
and treatment services for an oil field development
project in Sudan.
The
scope of the contract for METITO includes setting
up a two-stream water desalination and chlorination
plant which would provide optimum production and
treatment of brackish water. This plant will have
a capacity to produce 620 cubic meters of fresh
water per hour, which is mandatory according to
oil field project regulations.
The company also plans to set
up an oily water treatment plant using Induced
Air Flotation technology. This plant removes suspended
oil from the effluent stream at the project site
where the resulting water is discharged as per
Sudanese law.
METITO Overseas Ltd. Managing
Director Fady Juez said: 'We are proud that we
were awarded this contract as many other highly
reputable water treatment companies also bid for
this project. We have extensive experience in
this sector around the world and we have dealt
with similar projects in a wide range of industries'. He added: 'In the past, we worked
on similar assignments and managed to surpass
our client's expectation on the Difra and Munga
oil field projects in Sudan. A project of this
nature requires highly specialized systems and
equipment to meet the highest international environmental
and oil industry standards. We at METITO are proud
of the fact that we meet and even exceed these
standards.' |
